Presentation Date: February 17, 2016 There are many BIG questions related to borrelia burgdorferi and the coinfections. Questions continue to puzzle both patients and health practitioners. The 20th century version identified as “juvenile arthritis” in an outbreak in Lyme, Connecticut in 1977 is very different from the infections documented in the teeth of mummified Egyptians. One of the BIG questions is how did these changes occur? Where are infections endemic? How is it spreading? How is Lyme treated? Short term? Long term? Verna will explore her experience with Lyme, and some of the many questions raised.
