Taya Jardine is a student leader at UBC Okanagan. Taya discusses tips on getting engaged in the student community, the importance of building foundations, and her experiences as an Indigenous, Female, Queer youth in student advocacy.

Claiming Spaces is a collaborative project between Inspiring Women Among Us (at the University of British Columbia), the Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ Toward Parity in Municipal Politics program and the City of Prince George.
