Student
and community leader Penína Sara-Lynn Harding shares her experiences
with leadership, including female strength in leadership postions, where
to find motivation, and how to maintain self-care and balance
priorities during a pandemic. Penína is a Ph.D. student in Natural
Resources and Environmental Studies at UNBC and an accepted member of
the Secwepemc (Shuswap) Nation.
Claiming
Spaces is a collaborative project between Inspiring Women Among Us (at
the University of British Columbia), the Federation of Canadian
Municipalities’ Toward Parity in Municipal Politics program and the City
of Prince George. Aiming to engage and support youth from marginalized
groups to enter leadership positions, Claiming Spaces provides publicly
accessible resources and videos sharing experiences and insights from
inspiring Canadian leaders.
